Witness Project brings together high school students and Holocaust survivors for a collaboration that fosters a deep emotional connection to the themes of loss, resilience, war, and trauma. This beautiful initiative helps preserve the memory of the Holocaust and supports survivors through the therapeutic recounting of their experiences. 

Approximately 13,000 Holocaust survivors live in the New York area — a disproportionate number live in poverty poverty. For many, UJA’s network of nonprofits serves as their lifeline and tends to their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Funds raised will support services for Holocaust survivors in the community, including therapeutic programs such as UJA-Federation’s Witness Project.
